Redis and MongoDB servers

What are Redis and MongoDB servers used for on FreePBX v17? I’d like to remove/disable them if I don’t need them.

In FreePBX v17, Redis and MongoDB servers are used for various purposes:

  1. Redis: It is typically utilized for caching and improving performance in FreePBX. It helps speed up operations by storing frequently accessed data in memory.
  2. MongoDB: FreePBX uses MongoDB as its database backend to store various configuration settings, call detail records (CDRs), and other system data.

If you don’t have a specific need for caching or if you’re not using any features that rely on MongoDB, you may consider disabling or removing these services to reduce system resource usage.

I’m pretty sure MySQL is still used for the database backend and CDR.
