*1 starts and stops on demand recording fine. Yet the nice soft button on the Digium D80 does not. Since those phones are now technically Sangoma’s, is there a trick to this?
We are having the same issue but experienced with D40 phones:

Feature code *1 behaves as expected, soft keys illuminate, toggle as expected, but no audio feedback of a recording is provided (the beep or double beep when using the feature code).
