Preventing users from resetting phone to defaults

So, I assumed that putting an admin password on the phones in the DPMA module prevented users from doing anything drastic, like reset to factory, changing network settings, etc. Apparently, it doesn’t. I had a user reset her phone to factory settings.

Isn’t there a way to lock these settings down?

I am running FreePBX on Asterisk using Digium D40 phones

Confirmed. The “Admin Settings” are locked out, but reset to factory is not in the Admin Settings where it would be with most other manufacturers.

Do you know of any other way to lock down that feature?


Negative, that menu cannot be locked out.
