Possible to 'stop' a call file once it's started?

I want to use a call file as a supplement to an existing burglar/fire alarm to increase awareness (don’t worry am not relying on this…)

I’m OK with how to set an alarm tone ringing via a Page Group, but how can I stop it once started?

Am OK with doing this via a shell script if necessary but would need a pointer! :slight_smile:

You can’t ‘stop’ a call file per-se as it just generates a ‘channel’ (or more) but you can 'channel request hangup <channel id>' that channel

A page group in FreePBX is just a specialized conference, and this AGI script was written to kill a conference:

You may be able to use it directly, or modify for your purposes.
