PJSIP - Software Phone, Unavailable NAN?

Hey Everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to post for this question:

  • I am having issue setting up software phones remotely via VPNs. The setup works when the hosts are in the network (office) but when working remotely through Windows VPN connection, we cannot receive the calls (Service Unavailable). Looking at Asterisk Info Page, Peers, I see Contact Status is “Unavail” and RTT is “nan”. Does that mean that the ping results from the device and server is high and therefore the device is marked as unavailable??

Any assistance is appreciated!!

More specifically, if the issue is the response times, is there a place where I can set this value and raise it? Thanks, -Ted

I doubt it.

I’m going to guess that the VPN connection isn’t being recognized by the PBX server. Tell us more about that. Also, the /var/log/asterisk/full log should have some pertinent information about how you are trying to connect.
