When I call a phone, pick up the call, and press the phone apps “Parking” button on the Sangoma S500, I very briefly hear “Transf…” and it cuts off to dial tone.
A few seconds later, it says “I’m sorry, that is not a valid extension.” The caller get’s stuck on hold and when I hang up the phone it hangs up on the caller.
I do have the parking lot setup in the default configuration so I am not sure what else I should try.
I thought I was running the latest S500 Firmware, I was not. After upgrading all of the phones, they appear to be working. I will report back if I have the weird issue again.
I spoke too soon. It did work initially last Friday after I got the firmware update but it looks like that was a fluke.
I am having the same behavior.
Phone Version 2.0.4.35
PBXact Version 10.13.66-21
The asterisk log has nothing useful, this is all that shows up after pressing the parking button:
[2017-08-28 11:20:26] VERBOSE[29788][C-0000001e] file.c: <SIP/4010-00000065> Playing 'pbx-transfer.ulaw' (language 'en')

Here’s what happens in the httpd error log when I press the parking button during a call:
I’m still trying to figure out what configuration is denying it.
[Mon Aug 28 12:04:37 2017] [error] [client 192.168.5.89] client denied by server configuration: /var/www/html/restapps/parking
fwchown followed by fwconsole reload did not help.
The parking button works when not in a call. It will load up the lot and allow pickup.
I am not sure the phone is showing me the correct button when on a call:
My screen does not change when on a call at all. After digging through the endpoint manager, I can’t even find an option to configure the talking screen. The horizontal buttons across the bottom change, the vertical buttons do not.
That is correct. The Parking button that goes with the Park Phone App is to view parked calls. If you want to park a caller you have to program a Park button. Parking a caller is not a phone app. It’s a speeddial basically. Create a new button called Park and pick Park as the button type not phone app.
The down side is the Park button will show up all the time. At this time the vertical buttons don’t let you change what shows up on call state. Only the horizontal keys have that function.
