PBXAct and Sangoma P370 Phone

Client with PBXAct17 asked:

  1. Is there is a way to make the numeric fonts larger (Call Logs, extension, etc)?
  2. Is there a way for the call log not to display missed calls that were answered at another extension

Font size is static. There has been an ocassional feature request for adjustable fonts, but to date it has not been given high priority.

If call logs are maintained on the phone, there is no way for the phone to know that a given call was answered elsewhere, or by voicemail, etc. For server-maintained logs, that’s obviously something that would be handled on the server. Either way, the answer is that it’s not possible, from the point of view of the phone, to filter out calls answered elsewhere.

If the extension is part of a ring group, the P370 phone does recognize that the call was answered elsewhere. This is a standard feature of ring groups in freePBX. Why should PBXAct not have this feature??? After all, it’s the paid version of freePBX.

I found the same setting in “Ring Groups” that was disabled. Have yet to determine if it has resolved the problem as I only changed the setting yesterday, and have not received a reply from the client.

Coming from the world of propreitary systems and jumping into Freepbx is an awakening from the perspective of trying to find fast, reliable information to answers regarding the platform.

To add a little more clarity, yes, Sangoma P-series phones have a configuration setting “hide_completed”_elsewhere" but that depends on receiving a SIP Message:CANCEL and Reason: “Call completed elsewhere”.

I’m not a platform expert, so I can’t speak to exactly how the various PBX’s (FreePBX, PBXact, Switchvox, etc.) behave in every case such as with remote call pickup or ring groups.

I added two screenshots, one is the ring group and the other is the P370 template in Endpointmanager…both freePBX of course.

You have to enable both.
