Pass CID info even if there is a Phonebook entry

I have my system configured so the Phonebook is used for CID lookups on a trunk. This replaces the incoming CID info with the info from the phonebook if found… I typically like this feature as I can assign names to numbers that normally don’t have names in the CID. But when our other office calls, this overwrites the CID info they are sending (which has the name of the person at the extension that is calling), instead replacing it with a generic name. I’d like to preserve that info.

Is there any way to NOT overwrite the CID info for only one phonebook entry?

Using Caller ID Superfecta you can do this. Create a separate inbound route(s) for your other office numbers and use a different superfecta scheme for those numbers that doesn’t poll the Asterisk Phonebook.
