I’m connecting these phones to an existing PBX system. It has S Series phones on it already and they can send/receive calls. The P Series phones are only receiving. I cannot dial other extensions or outside the system.
What sort of things have you done to troubleshoot? What logs have you looked at? The model of the phone most certainly has nothing to do with audio issues. That typically is caused by misconfiguration networking on the phones or the phone system.
Looked at asterisk logfiles. When trying to dial extensions or outside line, no new logs appear. It’s not an audio issue, when the P325 dials an outgoing call to either an extension or outside line, it just is silence then rapid beeping, similar to a busy signal, and the phone shows “Failed”. The S series phones will dial out just fine.
Both the P Series phone and the S Series phone are on the same network and switch.
Doesn’t sound like your phones are properly registering in asterisk. You’ll need to provide some better logs if you hope for any help here.

The FreePBX project is collecting anonymous browser statistics using google anal ytics. These are used to focus development efforts based on real user input. All information is anonymous. You can disable this in Advanced Settings with the Br owser Stats setting.

Figured it out. New phone uses different ports for outgoing calls than the S Series phones. Opened up the firewall rules and it started working.
