P325 Call Log For Parked Calls No Longer Showing External Number

I’ve had 2 of our locations report in the last month that our “call log” on the D and P series phones no longer show the external number dialing in when a call is parked and picked up by another extension. To be clear, in this example, NEITHER phone shows the external number in the call log on the phones. The problem is when that location goes to call that customer back, they used to be able to retrieve that number from the “call log”. They now have to remember to write that number down while on the phone with them or they lose it.

In one of these situations, I was able to find the CDR record and provide the number to the location, but that is far from ideal.

The last 3 entries in the “changelog” for the “Phone Apps” module shows as follows

17.0.6.8: FREEI-2532 SCD call log caller ID display issue resolved
17.0.6.7: FREEI-2532 SCD call log caller ID display issue resolved

17.0.6.6: FREEI-2711 Made changes for fixing issue call log button click

Maybe what we are experiencing is a regression caused by one of those 3 “call log issue” fixes? Fix one thing break something else type of situation?

I had users for one of my managed systems reporting the exact same thing. About 2 weeks ago, the external CID stopped showing up on parked calls, also using P325 phones.

Looks similar to No outbound calls showing in P series call log and internal issue was raised to address but temporary workaround is reported by @drracing07 to downgrade restapps module.

I suspect this is not a Sangoma Hardware Phones issue, but more likely related to another recent FreePBX issue where parking is/was broken.

Per the recommendation I downgraded the “Phone Apps” module to 17.0.6.6.(17.0.6.7 didn’t show up as an option for me)

I did one test and now after the downgrad, the phone that parked the call has the external number that called in showing up in the call log.

As long as the downgrade doens’t cause any issues, I’ll leave that in place until a fix is released.
