ISSUE : Sangoma P330 phones that would not show the button definitions such as BLF and Speeddial. For stations that had Expansion Units the BLF buttons would appear randomly. If the phone was rebooted or reset, the BLF lights might change – some that were off were now on, others that were on were now off. Had one template of phones that would not show any defined keys except the 4 along the bottom of the screen.
I have always said that fixes are easy, problem determination is not. Such was this case. I post the issue along with the answer in case someone else runs into the same problem.
SOLUTION: In Endpoint Manager, for the template definition for D & P Series phones, select the [Options] tab. Scroll all the way to the bottom. Look for “Allow Insecure SSL”. The default is [Disable]. Change it to [Enable]. At the bottom select [Save, Rebuild Config(s) and Update Phones] then click [Apply]. Done. End of story.
