Hi everybody. I have 2 trunks and some extensions. For first trunk (lets call it 1) there is all extension except one. For this one extension (lets call it 103) there is second trunk (2). There is 2 inbound routes, for 1 its ivr and goes to all extensions, for 2 it goes directly to extension 103. There is 2 outbound routes - first (highest) is for caller ID 103, and second (lowest) is for other extensions (dial patterns are the same, but first have caller id 103 in all patterns, so outgoing calls for extension 103 goes through first route, others - second route). Now we need to organize something like follow me or call forward. So i made follow me for 103, and when i call from any extension to 103 it goes outside by second route - this is not what we want. One more thing to do is when we call to 2 trunk from outside if there is no answer call will forward to follow me or somehow to external number (which is in follow me now). Need help, please. Sorry for my english.
If you can better organize your question I would be happy to answer.
Split it up so each question is separate.
- Have 2 trunks - 712190 and 712199
- Have some extentions - 100-106, 201-204, 333, 777
- Have 2 inbound routes - 712190 goes to IVR and we can dial any extention; 712199 - goes to extention 103
- Have 2 outbound routes - first (highest in list) is for extention 103 and goes through trunk 712199 (match pattern/103); second (lowest in list) is for other extentions
- Have Follow Me for 103 with one external number 332682#
When we call to 103 from any extention and call goes to Follow Me outgoing call goes from trunk 712190, and we need it from 712199. How can i do this thing ?
Excellent description!
OK, now there are a couple of ways to do this.
You can use a dialing prefix like 9 so that if you dial out 9, then the number it will go from one route over the other.
I prefer using extension routing ( module ), then you configure which extensions can use which routes, VERY clean.
You can also use Outbound CID in the extension and override the trunk.
So as you can see a few ways and you just need to pick your favorite way to accomplish the goal.
One other note, is your follow me if you choose to use the prefix 9, will need the 9 as well.
Thanks for great answer. Cant find module “Extension Routing” FreePBX 12. I will try 2 other ways.
About Outbound CID:
- Put 712199 in Iutbiund CID of 777
- Trying to col fram 777 outside
- Call goes from 712190 accordinr to outbiund routes
- Operator declined this call because Outbound CID do not match trunk name (712190)
I used prefix method and it works. When i call 103 from internal extensions, Follow Me puts call outside from 712199 trunk as i wish.
One more thing. We want when somebody calls from outside to 712199 and there is no answer, the call will go to number from Follow Me through 712199 trunk, but now it hangs up.
I Agree

not a cheap shot question but do you have a call centric trunk? just asking because of the 777 or 7xx area code, just thought i would ask if you have over looked the simple of there control over your registration?
i need to talk to you about this

FYI Modules are here:
didnt clearly understand what you want to ask, but i suppose not to use 777 in extension numbers, may be there is some rules of creating extension numbers ?
May be i will try it later if needed. Thank you for helping.
Hi everybody. I solved my problem with custom contexts. It was much more easier that i supposed. Now need more help. There is Follow Me for 103 extension, hunt-prim type with just one string to external number 406780#. When I call from internal number 777 to 103 call goes to 406780, but when I call to external number 712199 wich goes to extension 103 call not going to 406780 why ?
