Outbound configuration fails after add it second DID

Hi All,

I was trying to setup a second DID number into my freepbx with the same trunk. And it seems when I add the second DID, I missed the outbound calls. The call sends, but when the client is picking up the call is automatically hangsup… I am using Telnyx as SIP Trunking provider and the outgoing calls dial patterns I just gave a prefix condition, to call to external numers. Is anyone can advice me ? Maybe I miss a small detail in my current config. Thanks in advanced

Do you mean you added a second trunk to the same provider point of presence?

DIDs are not used in outbound calls.

Hi David, Thanks for reaching out. I am a bit newby on Freepbx, and try to setup 2 numbers with 2 trunks and same connection as DDNS. So, when I tried that configuration. I’ve couldn’t get the actual ringing automatically was going to my voicemail. So, now I was trying to connect 2 different numbers into the same trunk and I guess that as you already mentioned is not realiable is it?

I’m still not clear what you are doing, but I suspect you have two trunks to the same provider, and they are unable to tell them apart. If so, you need to find out how the provider identifies which accunt is making a call.

Hi David,

I can create any SIP Trunking with my provider. The issue is when I create the SIP Trunkings at FreePBX, both Trunkings I set up in the calls don’t deliver to the extensions. It reaches the extension on pjsip but doesn’t proceed with the call, automatically hangsup

logs will be needed to preclude any guessing needed by your peers

show attempted use of both e164 and UK locale numbering. Check with your provider that both are acceptable.

I Have talked with my provider about this authentication issues, and it seems they are investigating, but so far my oubound calls are still not working and I based in London and every time I touch the config is getting worse lol. At least the Inbound calls are working fine.

However, I’ve got a response and it seems, from my site:

Hello again,

As mentioned earlier, the 407 is just a standard response we send the PBX to challenge it to provide the correct SIP credentials to authenticate and make a valid connection setup.

While looking at both the shared samples I can see in the SIP ladder the BYE is coming from your PBX and you can view this in your portal debugging section too and you’ll see the BYE.

We can only provide configuration guides for what we have covered on support.telnyx.com which I shared with you earlier.

FreePBX is pretty widely supported by us so it should work however you may be best to reach to FreePBX support for configuration help as all we are obligated to do on our side is portal setup, and after checking the SIP configurations and the OB configuration it looks good to me.

You haven’t said anything about this before, and the call is answered, so must have been authenticated.

You haven’t provided the pjsip set logger on output, that would be needed to understand what is happening at the SIP level.

Apologise david, as I mentioned I am a bit newby at FreePBX and I missed that part to mentioning.

Okay I found the issue finally, it seems was my IP Phone issues. I was forcing to listen on TCP connections and the FreePBX the trunk I’ve got is listen via UDP…
Things i have to learn I guess
