OpenVPN version in FreePBX is outdated

I am running FreePBX version 13.0.197.31. I notice that the OpenVPN version is rather old, 2015 I think:

yum update doesn’t change anything as I gather this is the latest version in the Schmoo repo. Could this be updated? The current version has some known security issues. Thank you

you really should upgrade to FreePBX 15…

Thank you for the reply. I admit I’m not eager to upgrade just over this one issue, also I’m not sure that few commercial licenses we have carry over to new versions of FreePBX – I remember that being an issue before. And 2.4.9 is still behind, though less so.

I’m guessing that just installing a new version of OpenVPN over the existing one is a terrible idea? I use the SysAdmin module to manage it.
