On Demand Call Recordings Not working

I’m running FPBX version 16.0.40.11. I had “don’t care” set to all 4 options on the extension and “on demand recording” set to enable. I can hear a beep when on a call and press *1. However, no recordings are showing up in /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/[extension number]. Also not visible in the call event logging report.

If i set all the options to “force,” I can see and play back the recording from the call event logging panel.

Call recordings aren’t being saved in the voicemail folder. They are in the monitor folder at /var/spool/asterisk/monitor. It’s then broken down by year, month, day in subfolders. So a call recording today would end up in /var/spool/asterisk/monitor/2025/03/17

OK. Thanks for clearing that up. I can see the on demand recordings in there. Why wouldn’t these show up in the call event logging report though? Only the “force” one shows up.

Most likely because it’s an in-call event and FORCE is set before the call.
