With ChanSpy, Any one knows why there is no sound for SIP extensions between sip phones? I use the same sip phone to spy the zap channel and it’s fine, but if i use the sip phone dial 555 and spy to the sip channel, there is no sound even i adjust the volume to 4.

yes, i have 2 G729 license bought from Digium. anyhow, thanks for your help man
I have tested it and i found the problem is with codec G729, although i have purchased the license from Digium, it seems that the chanspy could not work with codec g729. it works fine once i allow=ulaw only for the extensions.
any comment?
never tried it with g729 - however, g729 requires one license per channel. When doing chanspy, that becomes another channel - so that may very wel be the issue.
Yes, I think so! however i have set canreinvite=no in both sip.conf
and individual extensions.
It should be enough to disable the redirect RTP media streams right?
canreinvite=no should keep it from happening, it is easy enought to see if it is reinviting by doing an rtp debug and seeing if the media is streaming through the server or not.

Above is the RTP debug upon sip channel calls, it seems that the call is going through the server,
the strage thing is that for both IAX2 and ZAP call i can use chanspy to spy to the channel but not sip, maybe something wrong with chanspy.so?
And by the way, i am using codec g729 with license, does it matter?

mostl likely answer is your endopoints have redirected the audio streams between themselves, in which case you can’t spy on the audio. This would happen based on the dial options on the general screen. If you put t,T,w and/or W it should keep the lines from redirecting. If they are running the audio through asterisk, you should be able to spy on it.
