No calls, probably problem with ports opening

When I tried to dial, I have no incoming or outgoing calls.

Only after a timeout, it says unable to reach the number. Call drops. Can’t hear or say anything.

I have been able t get around this by opening the ports through my router and have to manually restart it by unplugging the power.

However, now I have a new external IP and by cloning the mac address of my pc to my router.

Since then, nothing works. I went to pbx and update the external ip, still not working.

Funny thing is I didn’t touch the ports forwarding tab, which used to work… I manually restart several times, not working.

I have no idea how to trace a call (if someone can give me the newbie detailed instructions on how to do it…

does your sip provider require you to register ip? if so did you make the change there also?

Nope. It worked before many times but everytime there seems to have some problem.

It turns out that check if port is opened says they aren’t. However my router is opening port without problems for other devices.

So it seems clear the problem is with my PBX.

It seems when changing and submitting the change in PBX for a new external ip address doesn’t change anything.

I had to go to pjsip and add external ip address, and then go back and delete it so it pop up port binding are being modified.

When this pop up happens (but it usually doesn’t), the situation gets resolved. I don’t know why, but it seems after submitting, applying and restarting the PBX doesn’t change the configuration?

I believe the online port checking might be saying closed even when port is opened because the PBX is blocking data cuz if the firewall?

Bottom line, adding the same information then previously can help solve this situation as long as a pop up asks for port binding.
