No Caller ID information on Inbound PSTN Call

Hi,

I was using a 10 year+ old FreePBX version working perfectly with the Greek provider COSMOTE and an analog Digium TDM2400P card until I experienced motherboard failure. The MB was changed and the latest version of FreePBX is now installed. Everything seems to work perfectly fine with the exception of inbound Caller ID that is not received anymore.

I followed the Digium guide for “Troubleshooting missing caller ID on Analog calls" and from the audio recording it is clear that I am receiving a short Dial-Up Modem sound between first and second ring (as expected since I was receiving CID with my old setup). I have added in following lines via the FreePBX GUI related to CID and FSK modulation:

  • Cidsignalling = v23 (also tried bell)
  • Cidstart = ring (also tried polarity and polarity_IN)
  • Callerid = asreceived

The complete chan_dahdi.conf is as follows:

Can anyone spot a mistake in my configuration or provide ideas on how to further troubleshoot this problem?

Observations:

  • The above log is generated immediately on the first ring and I have the feeling that the CID information has not been delivered yet to the DigiumTDM card at this time.

  • Setting the “Callerid” property to a specific number (e.g. callerid=123456) instead of “asreceived” has no effect. I was expecting that this will force the CID in the logs to be 123456 but instead there is no CID information again that makes me wonder if the chan_dahdi.conf is parsed properly.

It is this. You need to change the settings to not actually accept the call until the second ring. Not sure how to do that on this channel.

Hi Sorvani,
Thank you for your response.
I was suspecting that this may be the issue but I have not found a way to force the TDM card to wait for CID data before deliver the call. Hopefully someone can provide some information on how to introduce this delay in FreePBX.
