Issue: Sangoma Softphone (Sangoma Talk Application) does not make a ringing sound when initiating calls, yet the calls still connect without audio in either direction.
What I’ve Done So Far:
- Checked opus codec under Asterisk SIP Settings > Audio Codecs > Codecs because it is compatible with PBX and the Sangoma Talk app.
- Verified that the ICE Host Candidate has the correct => .
- The public IP address under Asterisk SIP Settings > ICE Host Candidates > Candidates matches the External Address in Asterisk SIP Settings > NAT Settings > External Address.
- On the network side of things, I have port forwarding rules to the PBXact server’s external address. Including… (1) forwarding UDP & TCP traffic to ports in the RTP Port Range to the PBXact server’s external IP address, (2) forwarding UDP & TCP traffic to ports 5060 & 5061 to the PBXact server’s external IP address, etc…
- There’s a setting for RTP keepalive and timeout which I’ve set to non-zero values in the PBXact configuration.
- Responsive Firewall is enabled with Default Ratelimit and Block Threshold settings.
More Info.: There is no audio whatsoever (ringing or echoing) when calling *43 Echo Test from the Sangoma Talk app. For some reason I am unaware of, there have been a significant increase in the number of IPs banned in Firewall > Intrusion Detection > IP’s that are currently banned.
