Thanks for the post here Taylor. We hope the community finds the module useful and want to make sure everyone knows this is Open Source and anyone can contribute back enhancements.
Not a trojan horse. You do not have to switch to our mirrors but if you decide not to the module will show its not signed by a trusted signature as Sangoma wont let us use our own key to sign modules that they announced years ago. So if you do not want the module signature warning to show up you have to use our mirror where we add our root key into framework.
I’m curious what you mean by that. Once your key is signed by Sangoma, you can sign whatever you like, you don’t have to get permission. Presumably this is how you’re re-signing the framework module on your own server after changing it?
Well that would be a question to Sangoma on why they won’t sign our key. We tried and it was rejected as we have competing products with them.
And no we sign framework with our own key that is signed by our own root key. That root key is what we add to our patched framework so that our modules signed by us are accepted.
