New Build - Asterisk won't start - Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk.ctl exist?)

I have a new build, running on RHEL 7. Previous installations have worked fine, however in this instance on completion of the build, I have the error in the GUI ‘Can Not Connect to Asterisk’.

When I attempt to run $ asterisk -rvvvvvv
Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk/asterisk.ctl exist?)

When I attempt to run $ asterisk -cvvvvvv
