Move to Debian12 - Contacts Duplicates [title edited by mod]

Meanwhile I have moved 3 PBXs from SangomaDistro to Debian12.
I always took the latest backup from Sangoma mainly V17 to restore into the new V21.
I always had a real crazy problem with contacts-DB. The restored contacts-DB has at least one and the same mobile phone-number for every contact after restore. Also it has more the one “home-phone” and more than one “cell-phone” entry afterwards. So in fact, contacts-DB is no more usable after backup-restore. The only way to repair it, was to take a contacts-csv-export from the old system (which still lives at that time) and import the csv to the new system again.
Therefore: Hopefully you didn’t overwrite the old system with the new one. Or do some csv-exports before destroying.

:eyes: but could not find a report in the issue tracker on this but if you have an anonymized data set that you can share it would be helpful to reproduce for a ticket.

Thanks for sharing. Good idea!

Related, the import process seems to be faster in newer versions – 300% faster bulk user imports – demo’d some of it side-by-side in a v16 vs. v17 match-up last month at AstriCon during “Performance Improvements” portion of 16->17 talk (below video should start at point in question 39:49):
