I am trying to update my main recording and it is not working. I have uploaded a new file, tried to record over the existing. At the end of the prompt it says to press * then # to rerecord or press 1 to listen. There is no option to save the recording?
Which version of FreePBX are you running?
Depending, you can delete the recording completely, make a new one, and assign the new recording for the role (IVR, Announcement, etc).
You save it from the System Recording page in the GUI which is on the Admin menu.
That recording is a bit ambiguous. It really should say…“press. ’ * ’ to rerecord your message, when finished press ’ # '
Then press “1” to listen to it.”
