Looking to hire an on-prem IVR that can also do fax back

Hello -

I work for a company with roughly 150 employees. We are in need of a new IVR system that meets our requirements, and want to have something we can purchase and have on prem. We have a system that currently works, but may switch next year

How our current system works :

  • Customers call our number to verify their customers eligibility. They type in a “customer ID” that gets validated. They also type in other identifying numbers for their customers, ultimately resulting in a voice recording playing of the “type” of service they’re eligible for.
  • At the end, they are given the option to receive a fax of this information. The fax sends one of two templated documents. Ideally, we’d love it if the fax could go through email / our exchange server, as that would be one less avenue to maintain.

Currently, we have an on-premise analogue PBX. From my research, we’d be looking into using FreePBX and its IVR to create the fax-back and because it can be integrated with our database of customer information.

  2. Create IVR menus for customers to enter and validate their ID.

Sounds like FreePBX could line up well with what youre aiming for, especially if youre looking to leverage your existing database and simplify the fax process through Exchange.
On-prem setups like this are pretty straightforward with the right config.
