I’ve been running for a few months now and am looking to setup the email forwarding of voice messages, but am not having success. Can anyone point me in the direction of a How To for this function? I’ve checked documentation and forums, but can’t seem to find specifics on this.

If you’re using FreePBX your system should already be set up to forward voicemail messages to email. Just make sure each extension has email enabled and an address in the voicemail section, down near the bottom of the page. Check global settings in the Voicemail Admin module as well.
I suspect what you might be looking for is a “how to” on getting an SMTP server up and running. Check /var/log/maillog for any errors your MTA is returning.
