I am trying to generate a local key for my custom fpbx module.

That all worked exactly as advertised except the URL for the git repository has not been updated to the new location in those instructions.

I am having exactly the same problem as this person from 2019 where the GUI is saying the module key is invalid. Has this ever worked since then?

Have you taken this step ?

After your key has been signed by the FreePBX Master Key, you will be able to sign modules using the ‘sign.php’ script in the Devtools repo.
