Can I load a backup from a FreePBX version 2.5.1.2 onto a 2.9.0.7 Distro install? I have an older FreePBX system at a remote site that is failing. I want to build a new box at my office and ship it to the site for replacement. It would be easier to install the latest distro and just load the backup. the system that is failing has a Sangoma A200 card in it which I will not have in the new system as I build it. I will have someone locally swap the card into the new box. Does this sound like it will work?
For backups you really want to upgrade FreePBX to the current version on the old box, create you backup, then you can use that backup to restore onto a new system.
