Line Rings Busy When Dialed, But After Reboot System Rings Normally

I am having an issue with our phone system for our small office. The last two mornings our lines ring busy when they are dialed, but rebooting the system fixes the problem. No lines were in use when the Busy signal was heard. Hoping this is something I can fix without rebuilding a new install. The calls that ring busy don’t reach the CDR Reports. I have two systems registered to our trunk service and the other system (an older installation of FreePBX) doesn’t have this issue.

I am going to work on a new install. I don’t know what is causing this issue. Anveo reports that FreePBX is connected to the trunk properly when this issue occurs. When people dial the number attached to the system, they are presented with a busy tone, FreePBX makes no records of the call (doesn’t seem to be a routing issue). Rebooting the PBX fixes the issue temporarily. This has happened two days in a row now.

Any one have idea on what this could be? Or good ways to troubleshoot?

This appears to have been an issue where our IT provider updated our firewall policies so that the connection made with the PBX and the trunk is cut off after sometime. I reduced the ‘Expiration’ time to 200 with the pjsip setting in the trunk. This was a tricky one to find since there were no logs of these dropped calls. Since this was changed I have not noticed this issue.
