The FreePBX 17 install script is installing PHP 8.2. If this releases in June on schedule there will be only a few months of non-security support on the released php version. Being that one of the stated goals in 17 is to allow users to remain current shouldn’t development and efforts be aimed at php 8.3?
Edit: Answering my own question ioncube doesn’t have 8.3 support
