Jason Parker a former Asterisk developer at Digium was responsible for leading the creation and maintenance of the FreePBX based distro AsteriskNOW, has joined the FreePBX/Schmooze Development Team. Jason also known as “Qwell” on IRC has given presentations at Asterisk events around the country, including AstriCon and The Atlanta Asterisk Users Group.
“We’re excited to have another seasoned developer with direct Asterisk and FreePBX experience join us.,” said Tony Lewis, CEO of Schmooze. “Jason has been contributing to Asterisk since 2005 and FreePBX since 2008 we expect him to help us continue expand the features of FreePBX, the most widely deployed Open Source PBX platform in use across the world today. “
Jason will be working on backend infrastructure for phone application development, while continuing in his role with Asterisk development for features and issues that primarily affect FreePBX users.
