IVR disable Direct Dial for some extention

Hi,
I would like disable direct dial for some extension. I would like the director’s extention not to be available from the ivr.
i can do this also with the dilplan

Create a directory that excludes those extensions and choose that in the direct dial dropdown in the IVR.
