Sorry for the ignorance. Really new with FreePBX.
We do have setup our own FreePBX system using Distro with Asterisk 1.8.
If i remember it correctly, i’ve read that Distro comes up with the fail2ban enabled.
on the CLI, we have noticed that there are lots of SIP trying to connect with our PBX system from different IP’s. We have noticed also that they were banned on the intrusion detection based on the alloted ban time.
Our PBX server is accessible outside, as we do have lots of remote users.
Please help on how can we make those IP’s permanently banned. or Is there a way for us to tighten the security. Any help would be much appreciated!.
