Inter-carrier Wideband Audio?

I’ve noticed that when calling from my iPhone to another iPhone over ATT or TMobile, Wideband audio appears to be in-use. Does anyone know of any way to get end-to-end G722 or other high quality codec to work outside of our local switch?

Just about every major sip trunk provider just supports G.711

We are a national broadcaster and would love to be able to get higher quality calls without having to send each guest a SIP phone registered to our switch.

That’s because mobile networks have a different set of codec bands that they use and G722 happens to be one of them. However, line based is still g711 because that’s what a TDM/POTS channel would be.
