Integrate asterisk/freepbx into home assistant

I have Asterisk on one server and Home Assistant on another server, I have already installed the Asterisk addon within Home Assistant, but I would like to know how to connect them so I can make calls or receive calls via Home Assistant. If anyone has a step by step guide I would be very grateful!

You might find an answer from the Home Assistant community as this is more Home Assistant functionality then it is FreePBX.
