Installing Latest Java and iSymphony

I’m trying to figure out how to install iSymphony Server, but first I need to install java and I having a hard time doing it by the command line.

I have run yum install java, but I am not sure where it is installing. I just did a yum remove java.

Anyways My question:

  1. How to install the java?
  2. How to install iSymphony?

The latest Sun Java JRE for RHEL is on Sun’s site. Download and install (use wget utility to download to usr/src)

The i9 folks have a complete step by step install document on their site for iSyphony. I have not had to install it for years as it is now in our repo but I never had any issue following their instructions.

Any reason you are not using our distro that does all this for you.
