Installed 4.0.5 - yeahhhhh need a new QA team

so just heard 4.0.5 of the desktop app was released… what do I do on live systems… install it…

remove it… install 4.0.3 again… fires up and works… then it says ohh there’s an update via the app… sure lets update again through the app…

yeahhhhh, I am an admin on my local system.

windows 11 pro
latest patches
DELL vostro 3420, 16gb
nVme drive

anyone else having fun. the scary part is , I sold the org on these apps to go live next month, and rolled out 4.03 via MDM a while back… is this what I have to worry about as well now, trashing everyones installations when there’s an update.

as well… it prompted me to do the update via the app… will this require admin privs?, or will the end user be able to trash their own installation… rather than wait for me to do it for them.

I am not sure anyone here is going to be super helpful with switchvox issues. In any case this probably needs a support ticket.

That looks 99% like a Windows policy issue and not a Sangoma QA issue…

it updated itself to that version…

we don’t have switchvox as well, but we do use sangoma desktop phone…
from github:

this software requires Switchvox 7.9+ and Freepbx/PBXact 15+.

and has the identical filenames as 4.0.3 and previous releases…

i’ll have to contact support.
