Inbound DTMF issues

Cant get DTMF to register from outside callers to the IVR. I have tried all the dtmfmode settings and forced the codec to ulaw & alaw. I also set debug to 99. I see DTMF events when I use an internal phone but not external. I also setup wireshark and it appears that RTP DTMF packets aren’t even coming in. BUT if I am on the phone with an outside caller and they press the buttons I hear them.

Our trunk provider is ringcentral.com. Do you suppose they are stripping out the DTMF? Do I have any options?

using Asterisk Now with Asterisk 1.6 and FreePBX 2.7

i’m having the same problem. I have installed asterisknow 1.7 and have problem with inbound dtmf to main IVR from cell phones, mainly with AT&T iphones. Everything else works fine. I’ve tried auto, inband and rfc2833 dtmf modes and none work. But if i go back to 1.4 it seems to work fine until i update it.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix or work around?
