In-Call Recording - How to receive the file

FreePBX 2.11.0.10

Hi guys,

I have enabled “in-call recording” and it works:
I see the files being created in
/var/spool/asterisk/monitor

My question is:

Is there a way for the user to get those files?

For example:

Is it possible to transfer the recorded conversation to the user’s voicemail?

(the user being the person who initiated the in-call recording)

Thank you!!

Is that no longer being done from the FreePBX user panel?

I have no idea…

I’m just looking for a way to use this feature.

I mean: it WORKS as in the files are present on the server under /var/spool/asterisk/monitor

But I’m looking for a simple way for the end-user to get access to those files.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to about the FreePBX user panel but if you can point me to some documentation or anything that would work, let me know please!

The same page users access to manage their voicemail:

Hello,

I have never used this page but it “seems” to work.

Right now, users check their voicemail directly on their phones (Digium D40) and also get them by email, thus I never saw the use of this.

I don’t understand what the password is… is it the voicemail password ?

It seems to be working: I can log in and I can see my messages (voicemail) but I do not see ANY recording, (in-call recordings) and I have made SEVERAL using my extension.

Left hand side of page…“Call Monitor”.

I do have this link on the left hand side : CALL MONITOR

But it is absolutely empty

And I am 100% sure that I have made several recordings with this extension.
And these recordings appear in /var/spool/asterisk/

Maybe it’s an option somewhere in FreePBX, or a module I am missing ???

Never heard of this not working…this basically extracts the CDR for that particular extension and displays it. Now, in a system that has been up a while, and in which the CDR has not been purged, it can take a period of time to display.

Hi,

This is a great lead.

As a matter of fact, the CDR reports do NOT work, and I have no idea why.

I have never tried to fix this issue because I was not requiring this feature yet.

Could you help me find out why the CDR reports do not work, and how to fix it?
Then it might make the recordings work too!

Or should I open a new thread?

Thank you!

Just found out it has been seen before. Never did pay attention to it because mine works.

See this thread:
