I’m guessing they mean Algo 1186 Paging Horn
Either it can be treated as a generic pageable SIP phone, or you should ask the vendor.
If there is any expertise here, it is most likely to be in the schools category.
Where are you in the process? Do you have the Algo set up as paging? Do you need help with connecting that?
I’d imagine you can set time conditions to trigger a system recording to the algo. Let me game this out and get back to you.
I’m still working on figuring it out and testing, but perhaps this article should help? It looks like this poster was trying to do exactly what you are trying to do.
This is my thinking so far,
First, add a bell recording and a recording of your school anthem to Admin->System Recordings
Next Create a page group and make the alert tone your bell and on another page group, your anthem.
Here’s where I’m fuzzy and where the post I’m referencing might help. You need to create a cron job to call the paging system at the times you want it to. I was thinking it could be done with time conditions, but part of me thinks that wouldn’t work, because that’s more for call routing than for triggers. Hence the cron job.
I’ll play around with it later today and let you know what I find out.
