I have no /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf file

On a new install of AsteriskNow, I have no /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf file. I do have a /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf.template file. I am trying to understand the the new Zaptel/Zapata configuration replacements since the first successful installation of Asterisk that I did a couple of years ago. Should I have this file as installed out of the box? or does it get generated after some configurations. I have the dahdi-channels.config file but Asterisk doesn’t see it. I assume that it is because the file in question doesn’t exist.

Help, Please,
Tom S.

dahdi_genconf should generate the conf files (including the /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf)
dahdi_cfg reloads the driver, applying the config files
You may need to reload Asterisk or reboot the box afterwards
