How to setup a domain (hosted domain) in freepbx distro?

Hello,
i have bought a vps and installed a freepbx distro (asterisk 11, centos 6.3, x86_64) and got it works fine. I’ve added a trunk and using announcements extensions etc.
Also i am using sipdroid android application to get in coming calls, everything works fine.

But i want to setup a domain (just like cpanel/directadmin) on this server and sure don’t want to hurt freepbx working system.

i tried ispconfig 3 and got them work both of freepbx and ispconfig 3 panels. But ispconfig 3 is a heavy worked panel, and could not create a domain that works well. Then, i uninstall ispconfig 3 panel.

I don’t want to use only ip address to reach anytime. I want to use it just so: pbx.mydomain.com to resolve 5060 port, panel.mydomain.com to return freepbx panel, and http://mydomain.com with a website (i am a php coder, but not a linux guru).

In a nutshell, i want to host my website with freepbx distro.

Is there any solution about that?
If not, can i use wholly working freepbx with directadmin or cpanel? (i tried a bit to install asterisk/freepbx on cpanel, but i could not succeed)

Thanks for your help

No one help?
I think, i’d to search for another voip solution rather than freepbx, maybe a commercial and supported one :frowning:

Your message was barely comprehensible and had nothing to do with FreePBX. Now you insult the community of the most popular Open Source PBX in the world?

There is no supported configuration of running a web server on a phone system, nor any type of hosting panel.

If you read one scrap of documentation you would know the system uses the industry standard httpd web webserver and CentOS linux. If you are insistent on doing this all you have to do is find out how to install your panel on CentOS.

You could also try being nicer, this is a user supported community.

Sorry for my bad english, i am from Turkey. I am not a linux prof. I already know httpd and centOS about 10 years.

I am a user too, and i want to support freepbx, i just made some addons and translate freepbx into my language…

My question is that:

I don’t want to use only ip address to reach FOP anytime. I want to use it just so: pbx.mydomain.com to resolve 5060 port, panel.mydomain.com to return freepbx panel (FOP) , and http://mydomain.com with a website (just a website as you know).

Just that. It is not a secret that gets freepbx community very rich. Just a simple support…

This doesn’t make any sense, port 5060 is UDP for SIP. FOP is in a subdirector off of webroot called /fop - FOP has been deprecated in favor of FOP2

You can add all the subdirectories to the system and virtual ports to the webserver that you want. You can also have as many IP’s as you need.

It’s not a secret and it’s not within the scope of this community to help you install unsupported, third party software on your PBX.

It's not a secret and it's not within the scope of this community to help you install unsupported, third party software on your PBX.

What is the unsupported 3rd party software? Using a domain? Using it with cPanel? directadmin? or freepbx itself? You are crazy man
Thanks for your help, please don’t see this thread, thanks.

I already added a domain, but becauseof chown/chgrp settings, freepbx panel (http://IP.ADRES/admin/config.php - what the hell you say FOP, FOP2 FOP1293 etc. ) returns 403 forbidden. Anyway…

Don’t tell me what to “see” or not to see.

We, the FreePBX developers and community team, do not support the use of cPanel or any other web admin tool on the platform.

If that’s what you want to do, go for it but you are not going to find anyone here that will know how to solve your permission issues. Perhaps if you had been polite and described what you are trying to do you would have gotten some help.

I also deleted your profanity from your post. That won’t be tolerated here.

Thanks for your help Scott! Sorry for angry words. I am in a Ramadan Fasting, about ~17 hours in a day, so some nerves could be. Sorry for that.

I did it with Virtualmin. I installed it on freepbx distro and configured apache virtualhosts manually. So http://freepbx.mydomain.com is the freepbx admin panel, working as well.

Maybe can help someone, i installed httpd-itk for multiuser apache, and added asterisk user and group to that virtualhost.

Thanks for not helping Scott, so i did a greed on that, and succeeded!
