How to remotely configure an Asterisk/FreePBX system from outside the network

We have an Asterisk/FreePBX system at our company behind a firewall and NAT.

How do we have to setup the system so that we can remotely configure the system with a WEB browser, e.g. from home?

Could we (how) change the port (probably 80) in the Asterisk/FreePBX WEB server to e.g. 8080?

Thanks,
Lemkonen

Just enable port forwarding in your firewall/router between the internal network and the internet. You should be able to set the external port number there also.

BUT remember to only allow access from the IP address that needs external access - not the whole world.

The recommended procedure is to use a VPN.
