I find myself in need of doing a backup of my system configuration and setup in preparation for moving to a different machine, to which I plan to have Asterisk and FreePBX built from scratch (which hopefully there’s a guide for it? Not related though), so my question is, how do I perform a backup of my system configuration IN ITS ENTIRETY? The files I could very easily transfer between machines with a USB stick as necessary, so my /tftpboot directory is more-or-less already covered. (not easily though)
Steps 1, 2 & 7, 8 in this post:
Are you doing same version to same version?
Negative, going to go from 20.17 (on the VM on my host system) to 20.18 on a separate system to run the UCM patch, which yes, I know will make my install out-of-support
That shouldn’t be a problem then, the config files between those versions are the same, and the FreePBX restore program will make any changes even if they were not.
So I’m guessing I just run the backup with all the default settings?
