How to map an extension to URI?

I can’t seem to find an answer to this question anywhere. I want to create a local extension (ie 510) so that when it’s dialed Asterisk redirects the call to a SIP URI (ie [email protected])

Can anyone help me with this? :slight_smile:

If you are running FreePBX 2.5.something, there should be a field for this in the extension setup screen.

Thanks! It works but it doesn’t pass the CID info. I guess I have some reading to do unless you know the answer off the top of your head?

Create an extension and use custom extension type, in the dial field use the following syntax:

SIP/[email protected]
