I’m using Aastra 9480i’s on FreePBX v2.8. I need the ability to intercom/page an extension while they’re on the phone. Currently the only way I can do this is to setup a paging group, add the single extension to this group, and then dial that paging group. Since I have allow barge in disabled there is a prompt on the phone saying ‘answer or ignore’. This works perfect except it only has a window of 5 seconds to press answer or ignore. I need to increase this to 15 seconds… I’m open for other options… My goal is to simply intercom/page an extension that is on a call. Barge in won’t work for us for it automatically puts the person on call into music on hold. help!
