How to connect Softphone to FREEPBX

Dear Community Users

I have installed on my hosted VM FREEPBX versio 14.0.5.25 but i can not connect my softphone to the

SIP Extension i am using iphone softphone GS Wave

Account Name: (as desired)
SIP Server: public IP address or domain name of your PBX
SIP User ID: (your extension number)
SIP Authentication ID: (your extension number)
Password: (must exactly match what is shown for Secret for your extension)
Display Name: (as desired)

This assumes default settings on FreePBX and you have created a pjsip extension.

It appears that chan_sip is trying to bind to port 5060.

The default settings for FreePBX 14 is pjsip on port 5060 and chan_sip on port 5160. Did you change any related settings? If so, why? If for some reason you need chan_sip on port 5060, you must first change pjsip to use something different.

I’m also confused about the externaddr error. I would assume that fxw gives you a static IP address; use that instead of a host name (or let FreePBX do it automatically).

Also, note that when you change these network settings, you must restart (not just reload) Asterisk.

You also have an invalid hostname for the external address in SIP Settings:

[2019-01-24 12:52:53] WARNING[10633]: chan_sip.c:32711 reload_config: Invalid address for externaddr keyword: https://voip.fix2go.nl

Dear lgaetz

My server has a static ip adres and i have a DNS A Record to my server

@Stewart1
Where can i check the The default settings for the pjsip

this are the setting
From voip.fix2go.nl

In Settings -> Asterisk SIP Settings:

On the General tab, External Address should show as 46.17.0.4 (if not, try Detect Network Settings, or type it in manually.)

On the Chan SIP Settings tab, the default value of bindport is 5160.

On the Chan PJSIP Settings tab, the default value of Port to Listen On (UDP) is 5060.

Restart Asterisk if you change any of these.

Don’t attempt registration until the network errors are no longer being logged.

i have my ip addres in TRUSTD [ Excluded from firewall ] I will still be banned

and what is the best firewall settings to let softphone login form any ip addres

it now seems to work after I’ve adjusted the chan_pjsip setting bind port to 5160

If you do not have a very abnormal configuration need, then pjsip should be on 5060 and chan_sip on 5160 as default. You are only going to cause more work down the road.
