How to check Mail whats the COMMAND please

Saying I have "NEW MAIL " in /var/spool/mail/root new to this if you can let me know what I can type to check mail.

Mehul - A little searching will yield many answers. Many command line mail readers exist, mail is default.

mail -f will get you started.
