I would assume that since a red bar comes up asking you to apply the changes that you just asked to be saved that there would be a way to cancel your changes.

nope,
the changes are saved to the database. Reloading writes out the conf files and reloads asterisk. And, in the current implementation, there are some modules as well as some astdb settings that get applied immediately. (Those will change in the future but for now…)

In the future, when we get some infrastructure changed that we have planned on for the astdb and some of the conf files, in conjunction with standard database transaction log role back mechanisms, this would probably not be too hard to do …
