i read somewhere that hot desking can be accomplished using the emp and the phone apps. the question is however, does this require the system to run in user device mode or can it run in extension mode but still do hot desking?
This only works with Sangoma phones without reboots. It does work with Yealink and Digium phones also but the phone reboots whenever logging in or out.
And no it has to be extension mode. Commercial modules do not support Device and User modes.
one last question - if the user logs into a phone without logging out of the old phone, does the system automatically log them out? or does this create a problem?
