I want to have the page group tone also go through the person’s handset who indicated the call. The reason for this is that our system has a paging adapter that pages to the intercom system and we want the user to be able to hear the tone when they are remotely paging and when it’s okay to start talking after the tone is done.
Is there also a way to have messages loop, for a page group we have a prerecorded lockdown tone and we wanted to be able to loop it in some way until the user ends it by hanging the call-up, etc.
Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions or ways I can accomplish this.
If you are using a paging system that communicates with an intercom system, you likely have a tone routing setting to route the paging tone to the caller’s handset. This can be configured in the paging server or in the adapter that interfaces between the paging system and the intercom.
